with BRITISH STANDARDS INSTITUTION “Fire Test for Furniture, 5852. Part
1 Methods of Test for the Ignitability
by Smokers’ Materials of
Upholstered Composites for Seating.” Per Section 10. (a), “ The following
test results
relate
only to the ignitability of the combination of materials under the
particular
conditions of test; they are not intended as a means of assessing the
full
potential fire hazard of the materials in use.”
The upholstery fabric sample
submitted was tested to

9. 2 Smoldering Cigarette Test.
Per your request, the sample submitted was commercially dry-cleaned one
(1) cycle prior to testing and was not subjected to BS
5651: 1978, "Sec. 4, Water Soaking Procedure" of the Cleansing and
Wetting Procedures for use in the Assessment of the Effect of Cleansing
and Wetting on the Flammability of Textile Fabrics and Fabric
Assemblies. The results are as follows:

The upholstery fabric sample
