with BRITISH STANDARDS INSTITUTION “Fire Test for Furniture ,
5852 Part 1 Methods of Test for the Ignitability by
Smokers’
Materials of Upholstered composites for Seating.” Per Section
10. (a), “ The following test results relate only to the ignitability
of
the combination of materials under the particular conditions of test;
they
are not intended as a means of assessing the full potential fire hazard
of the materials in use.”
The upholstery fabric sample
submitted was tested to

9. 3 Butane Flame Test. Per your request, the sample submitted was
commercially
dry-cleaned one (1) cycle prior to testing and was not subjected to BS
5651: 1978, “ Sec. 4, Water
Soaking Procedure” of the Cleansing and
Wetting
Procedures for use in the Fabrics and Fabric Assemblies. The results
are

The upholstery fabric sample
submitted, when tested after being subjected to one (1) commercial
dry-cleaning cycle, meets minimum requirements of the above standard
when tested to butane flame ignition source 1.
