On July 5, 2007, Flame Seal Products, Inc. of Houston, Texas passed the ASTM E-84 test at Intertek Labs (formerly Omega Point Laboratories), for flame spread & smoke generation, with a Class A / Class I rating for Wood Seal-A, the Company’s intumescent, fire retardant penetrant for wood materials.  This is the culmination of work for several OEM accounts in various wood products industries for Fine wood ceilings, floors, wall panels and others.  One new OEM client has already begun to order based upon this test result, with others planning to follow suit.  More details regarding the specific clients will be release as they occur.

This event marks the successful reformulation of Flame Seal’s Wood Seal product line to satisfy specific OEM client requirements to meet more strict modern codes as well as production line ease of operation.  The development of the OEM clients for various wood products will now move more into marketing / sales logistics, as the R&D efforts of Flame Seal now primarily focus on OEM’s in mattresses and furniture, since July / August is critical to their need for timely production readiness.  A progress report will be issued in coming weeks, as these accounts develop.
