CURRENT
NEWS
ITEM :
Flame Seal Products’ exclusive US/CAN
Distributor, SPI of Lakewood, Washington, focused on Flame Seal-TB as
the theme of their booth at the hugely successful SPFA Trade Show in
Austin, Texas, February 11-14, 2009. Attendance at the show was up 50%
from last year, which demonstrates the heavy focus on energy savings in
this economy. SPI’s booth experienced continual traffic throughout the
conference, responding to requests for complete information, data &
testing of Flame Seal-TB with over 160 Flash Drives & document
packages. Those requesting data included most major manufacturers,
large contracting firms, and applicators.
FROM THE PRESIDENT: “Let me start by
apologizing to our stockholders for being unable to get a press release
out prior to Christmas as I had hoped, but I became very ill with a
severe black mold lung infection (a gift from Hurricane IKE). In
December, it was all I could do to keep up with the critical issues,
such as product certifications, and of course, preparations for this
Conference in Austin, which was one of the most important of the year.
Our focus on this paid off as SPI, which did an outstanding job,
produced a booth and a plan that was an absolutely huge success!
“I witnessed the results of SPI’s
aggressive marketing, including their full page color ads in trade
magazines, as well as at this conference. Literally every major
Polyurethane Foam Manufacturing Company visited the booth to be assured
that what they had been hearing recently was true. Our job was simply
to explain that we had passed all the tests and met all requirements,
and that all data was available on SPI’s flash drives. Every visitor I
met was both excited and amazed! I helped the SPI guys at their booth
all day for two days, and we had continuous visitors, sometimes lined
up to get in, as we each (3 of us) talked with, at times, 2-3
persons each. Needless to say, I was excited about the results, and
very tired at the end of the conference. By the way, a full color, full
page ad for Flame Seal-TB is at the front of the December “SHOW ISSUE”
of Spray Foam Magazine, who put on the conference. For stockholders who
are interested, you can get a copy at:

“The Spray Foam industry’s slow season is
almost over, yet I hear that SPI is already getting calls unusually
early for large jobs and orders. Considering the response at that
conference, and what I heard from SPI and other major companies in the
foam business, this is going to be a great year, not in spite of the
economy, but “because” of it! ...More on THAT shortly. I just wanted to
get this out because the conference has been over for a few weeks, and
we have been working over time to get fully prepared for the year
ahead. I will get out another press release next week (really!) about
those preparations, and all I can say about them is... hang on to your
hats!”
