Flame Seal-TB receives ICC Certification. SPI ramps up marketing, as BAYER becomes the
first major foam insulation manufacturer to be certified with Flame Seal’s
product.
CURRENT NEWS ITEM:
Flame
Seal Products, Inc. (FSP), in partnership with Specialty Products, Inc. (SPI),
exclusive Distributor for US and Canada, has achieved a major breakthrough in the Fire Protection Industry. It’s new intumescent coating, “Flame
Seal-TB”, designed to satisfy difficult code requirements for Thermal Barriers
on Polyurethane Foam Insulation, passed all required tests related to Thermal
Barriers at Intertek / Warnock-Hersey early last year. Applications for ICC Certifications have
been under review, and the first such application, by Bayer, was recently
accepted by ICC and published at the ICC Website.
NOTICE TO
SHAREHOLDERS: Due to agreements between
Flame Seal and SPI, as well as honoring requests from Bayer, this news was first released by
BAYER at::

And by
SPI at:

After months
of planning, in preparation for these ICC Certifications, SPI is now launching a
major marketing campaign, taking full advantage of the almost singular market position
these circumstances create. In SPI’s
extensive test market screening, a vast majority stated that if they receive ICC
Certification, it will be the definitive
factor in making a decision to buy.
Now that this Certification is a reality, the opportunities that now
present themselves for Flame Seal and SPI are incredible.
From the President:
“First and foremost, I want to express my appreciation to
SPI, its staff, and especially Dan Helton, SPI’s President, for being the best
partner I have had the pleasure of working with. SPI has been a model of honesty, efficiency, and professionalism,
and needless to say, I’m a huge fan. I
must add that after working beside Dan and his team at trade shows, it is clear
that many share my view of SPI. The
quality of this relationship is why we are at this milestone today, and it
assures us that we will succeed at taking full advantage of this opportunity to
dominate a huge emerging market that is so very much needed in this economy and
environment.
“Dear Stockholders… Now that you all know who our first
major client is, let me add a bit more.
Bayer is, depending upon who you ask, #1 or #2 in SPF insulation in
North America. They are virtually tied
for first, but suffice it to say, there is no company that is bigger in this
industry. And, to clarify the meaning
of the Certification: If any customer
of Bayer’s foam wants to use it in an occupied space, a Thermal Barrier (or
equivalent) will be required. Other than sheetrock or cement, nothing else
is certified as acceptable. This will
function very much like a specification that marries their foam to our
coating. Likewise, we are working
diligently to make sure we serve Bayer as they require, meaning strict delivery
schedules, product quality control requirements, etc. These issues, as well as more and more testing by them and
others, has us fully engaged. A very
good thing in this day and age!
“You all will also notice that we have finally managed to
provide our IT folks enough midnight oil to complete the new Web Site. It looks great, and is even easier to use
for our customers. Many have already
let me know how much they truly love it, as do I.
“There is a lot that is changing with our Company, and I’ll
elaborate soon, but no single event compares to receiving this ICC
Certification by a company of the stature of Bayer. At the same time, consider that SPI has several other major
manufacturers on board with our program to get them certified as well!
“Thanks to everyone who stood by us, believed in us,
and supported us… and I must repeat… keep hangin’ on to those hats! More soon…”
