“FLAME SEAL RECEIVES THE GO AHEAD ON FIRST WALL SECTION OF THE BRITISH PETROLEUM PROJECT IN PRUDOE BAY, ALASKA.  PRODUCTION OF FIRST ORDER BEGINS.”

Flame Seal Products, Inc., has received written approval from British Petroleum, via its distributor, STI Alaska in Anchorage, to proceed with production of Flame Seal’s *FBS®-SL product for the first wall of the project at the Prudoe Bay site.  This first critical application of 4,000 square feet of FBS®-SL, which was specifically designed and tested by Flame Seal for this project, will be viewed and inspected by other site mangers, with decisions as to the scheduling and planning of expanded applications at other locations in Alaska to be forthcoming.  Production has begun, with delivery scheduled in approximately six weeks.  This is the beginning of the applications phase of this project, which has been in development and planning for three years.

*Flame Seal’s FBS®-SL product is a laminated sheet material that upgrades a foam core panelized wall system to a 2 hour rated firewall.  The unique features are thickness (1/4”), weight (1.25 lb./square foot), & moderate cost.  (SEE EARLIER NEWS RELEASES)

BACKGROUND:

FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. (FLMP) became a public company and began trading March 27, 2000 on the OTC (Non-BB “Pink Sheets”) stock market.  Flame Seal Products, Inc. is the Transfer Agent of record.  The Company is working on its form 10SB, along with related S.E.C. requirements, and plans to move onto the Bulletin Board as soon as possible, and then to the American Stock Exchange in the near future.

After 6 years of R&D, resulting in the development of a series of products that have become internationally recognized as among the best fire protection products in the world, the Company shifted its focus from R&D to Marketing and Sales in 1999.
