| PRESS RELEASE # 16: (Released Via Business Wire) February 14, 2002 “FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. successfully completes installation for British Petroleum in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska..” CURRENT NEWS ITEM: Flame Seal, in conjunction with its distributor, STI Alaska, and Bristol Engineering, have successfully completed the first firewall installation of it FBS®-SL product in Prudhoe Bay, Alaska for British Petroleum. In response to BP’s aggressive position on safety issues, and environmental concerns, Flame Seal’s FBS®-SL wall covering product is being installed to allow the safe removal of Halon fire extinguishing systems. The pilot system for the project was installed at GC-3, 490/415 at Dead Horse, Prudhoe Bay. Overseeing the installation was Flame Seal’s President, Michael Kiser, with supervision of the installation team by Ted Stickel and Richard Tisch of STI Alaska. Engineering and the installation team was provided and managed by Bristol Engineering Group. The installation was completed on time, and on budget. After installation, the system was inspected by British Petroleum and the Fire Marshal’s office. The system passed inspections and was fully approved. Next phase installations are already being discussed by site engineers. Targeted walls include those at British Petroleum, Arco, Amoco, and Philips Petroleum, with more inquiries from still other companies, including the Alaska Pipeline Project. Michael Kiser of Flame Seal is scheduled to return to Prudhoe Bay next week to complete the final inspection of the site by the manufacturer, as well as to discuss the scheduling of future installation of Flame Seal’s FBS-SL product. NOTICE: A number of problems with attempted stock trades have been reported by investors and shareholders. Some have been unable to effect a desired trade. This may be due to the fact that a number of very small, independent brokers are acting as Market Makers with Flame Seal’s stock. To minimize the risk of such problems, it is advisable that brokers seek the larger, established Market Makers. This notice is to inform such interested shareholders, investors and their brokers that HERZOG (a Merrill Lynch Company) is a Market Maker for the stock of Flame Seal Products, Inc. (FLMP). BACKGROUND: FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. (FLMP) became a public company and began trading March 27, 2000 on the OTC (Non-BB “Pink Sheets”) stock market. Flame Seal Products, Inc. is the Transfer Agent of record. The Company is working on its form 10SB, along with related S.E.C. requirements, and plans to move onto the Bulletin Board as soon as possible, and then to the American Stock Exchange in the near future. After 6 years of R&D, resulting in the development of a series of products that have become internationally recognized as among the best fire protection products in the world, the Company shifted its focus from R&D to Marketing and Sales in 1999. The “key” business strategy of Flame Seal is to create alliances with larger corporations, which quickly enhances the strength of the Company in each market by employing the networks for marketing, sales, applications, etc. that already exist within the structure of such Corporations.
