PRESS RELEASE # 19: (Released Via Business Wire) December 29, 2003 “FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. has received bid approval from Alyeska Pipeline Service Company in Alaska… CURRENT NEWS ITEM: At the request of Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. of Houston, Texas, delivered a proposal to provide fire protection jackets constructed with its proprietary FBS®-J materials, to protect actuators, control boxes and related electrical conduits. After several months of on-site studies and planning, FLAME SEAL’s proposal was accepted in late December. This is the Company’s first project for Alyeska Pipeline, and is valued at $140,000. Michael Kiser, President of Flame Seal, is scheduled to travel to Alaska, at the request of Alyeska Pipeline, to meet with its engineers & planners the first week of January to confirm delivery details for the project. FLAME SEAL has also received word from British Petroleum that the original project with BP is ready to move forward to its next phase. (The project priority was temporarily shifted after September 11, 2001.) With Flame Seal receiving product acceptance and related fire protection projects from British Petroleum and now with Alyeska Pipeline, the Company has begun to establish its products with two of the three companies that dominate the oil fields of Alaska. The third is Phillips Petroleum, with whom Flame Seal’s distributor and Engineering firm have been working recently as well. NOTICE: To help assure convenience and performance, this is to inform interested shareholders, investors and their brokers that HERZOG (a Merrill Lynch Company) is a Market Maker for the stock of Flame Seal Products, Inc. (FLMP). BACKGROUND: FLAME SEAL PRODUCTS, INC. (FLMP) became a public company and began trading March 27, 2000 on the OTC (Non-BB “Pink Sheets”) stock market. Flame Seal Products, Inc. is the Transfer Agent of record. The Company is working on its form 10SB, along with related S.E.C. requirements, and plans to move onto the Bulletin Board as soon as possible, and then to the American Stock Exchange in the near future. After 6 years of R&D, resulting in the development of a series of products that have become internationally recognized as among the best fire protection products in the world, the Company shifted its focus from R&D to Marketing and Sales in 1999. In 2001 the Company refined its focus to its most effective core products: Leather fire protection, Electrical cable fire protection in refineries, Fabric fire protection and FX100 fire barrier coatings for plastics & cellulose materials. Strong sales growth began in 2001, primarily in Leather fire protection for Aircraft. 9-11 temporarily slowed progress due to negative effects on the Airline and Petroleum Industries. In 2003 the Company began finalizing strategic alliances with major distributors / marketers in several diverse industries. The “key” business strategy of Flame Seal is to create alliances with larger corporations, which quickly enhances the strength of the Company in each market by employing the networks for marketing, sales, applications, etc. that already exist within the structure of such Corporations.
