PRESS RELEASE #2:
(Released Via Business Wire)
August 4, 2000

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 4, 2000--

Background:

Flame Seal Products Inc. became a public company and began trading on March 27, 2000, on the OTC (Non-BB "pink sheets") stock market. The stock symbol is FLMP. American Stock Transfer & Trust is the transfer agent. The company is filing its form 10SB with the S.E.C. and plans to move onto the American Stock Exchange in the very near future.

Flame Seal manufactures and sells fire protection coatings, wraps and systems, based on its intellectual properties, which are protected by various patents, trade secrets, trademarks and copyrights. Flame Seal has been in R&D from its inception in 1992 through 1998, developing and refining these products, and testing their respective markets. The company's products, which are all water-based and non-toxic, have received international acceptance and recognition as among the best products in the industry with regard to price, performance, safety and environmental effect. During 1999, the company shifted its focus from R&D to marketing and sales.

Update -- Past News Releases

Bayer Corporation, Flame Seal's exclusive distributor of Leather Seal in Europe and South America, has placed its second order for shipment to Northern Europe, after extensive testing and application development by Bayer AG in Germany.

Major Current News Item:

Flame Seal Products Inc. has received approval of its new FBS-SL product from British Petroleum Corporation for use in its petrochemical plants in Alaska. This project has been ongoing for the past two and a half years. During that time, at the request of British Petroleum, the new product was designed and tested at Flame Seal's laboratories, and subjected to formal, independent testing at Omega Point Laboratories. The resulting product, FBS-SL, met all British Petroleum's requirements, and solved a problem created by the required removal of Halon Fire Suppression Systems, per EPA global guidelines, where no other company or product was able to. Flame Seal's thin and light weight FBS-SL, material upgrades foam core panel wall systems to  2-hour firewall, thereby helping BP avoid more costly solutions, such as rebuilding or restructuring the walls in over 1100 enclosed factory buildings in Northern Alaska, all of which are primarily constructed of such material, due to the cold climate. British Petroleum's merger with Amoco, and subsequent relationship with Arco, have magnified the scope of this project proportionately. STI Flame Seal Alaska, Flame Seal's exclusive distribution unit in Anchorage, has begun pre-engineering work on the project.
