Flame Seal’s FX-100 coating has passed more fire tests for use on plastics, now in Aerospace applications, Flame Seal’s primary target market.

CURRENT NEWS ITEM:

Flame Seal’s FX-100 has been used by AIM Aviation of Renton, Washington, for an Aerospace application on specified plastics, to allow these materials to pass required fire testing for Aircraft Materials. Tests performed at AIM Aviation using the FX-100 on various composite structures are as follows: 60 second vertical burn test per FAR 25, Appendix F, Part I (a)((1) (I). OSU Heat Release Rate Test per FAR 25, Appendix F Part IV. Smoke Density Test per FAR 25 Appendix F Part V. (ASTM-E-84).

Other test data is forthcoming in this industry. Preliminary reports strongly indicate that Flame Seal’s focus on the Aerospace Industry as its primary niche is right on target, as its products and technologies continue to prove ideally suited for the weight and performance requirements of Aircraft.
