| SUGGESTED APPLICATION METHODS FOR LEATHER SEAL™2 FIRE RETARDANT: |
The following methods have been reported by some of our customers. We are providing this information for your reference to help you design a method that is specific to your particular manufacturing process, choice of specific dyes and tanning chemicals.
By Spraying: Spray on the back side of the finished leather at a rate of one gallon per 100 - 150 square feet.
In the Dry Drum: Application is performed via chemical dosing in the dry drum with a running time of 90 minutes. This should be done after the leather goes through the staking stage. After the leather has been treated in the Dry Drum it is recommended to toggle dry it again. (Toggle dryers should be used as the method to dry the leather). If too much chemical remains on the finished side, white solid residues might build up. If this occurs the surface must be wiped with some type of conditioner before it goes to the finishing stage. This way the residues will not be sealed with the lacquers etc..
