Company History

Flame Seal Products, Inc. located in Houston, Texas was founded in 1992 as a research and development company focused on the investigation and application of passive Fire Prevention Technologies. Flame Seal engaged in the development, including requisite testing and certification, and manufacture of flame retardant and fire resistant chemicals which are applied as coatings, penetrants, or powders mixed with fluid for public safety and to save lives. Flame Seal Products, has been under new management since 2013, and its evolving technological expertise is gaining acceptance and being embraced by a growing list of well-known domestic and international customers. Flame Seal has Fire Code Experts with a Team of Code Consultants who identify the key testing requirement for our customers and partners. Flame Seal maintains formal agreements with several Certified Testing Laboratories to ensure our products are independently tested to identified industry specifications and standards.


Product Overview

Flame Seal’s technologies are Environmentally Friendly – products are water based, non-toxic, non-hazardous and free of PBDE’s (Polybrominated Diphenyl Esters) or any other restricted chemicals. Our products are rigorously tested by independent laboratories on the current fire code requirements. Flame Seal’s products are flexible and can be adapted and customized to individual requirements for passive fire prevention. Flame Seal’s products are used on many substrates including foam, plastic, fabric, wood, paper and metals. Flame Seal continues to invest in Research and Development to improve our technology and in our ability to develop solutions in passive fire prevention chemistry.
